Under the general supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, the Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services will be responsible for the coordination and daily operations of diagnostic imaging at the hospital and Tower Imaging. The Director of Imaging Services will be supported by Radiology Managers, Supervisors and 85 skillful FTEs. Collaborating with the Manager of Radiology, the Director of Imaging Services will ensure that the delivery of care and services in the Diagnostic Imaging Department meet Federal, State, JCAHO, and other regulatory/accreditation requirements. The Imaging Director will ensure that hospital policies and procedures are followed and enforced. Develops and implements a system of care for patients that include staffing patterns based on patient/customer needs. The Director of Radiology Services will review and monitor work schedules, work hours, and duty assignments of personnel. The Imaging Director will investigate irregularities in the delivery of care or service, policy violations and takes corrective action when necessary. Ensures that departments' personnel are properly oriented, trained, in-serviced, and evaluated including age specific topics within established periods. The Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services will work closely with the Marketing Director to develop and implement a marketing plan that aligns with the strategic plan that is focused on increasing the patient volume and improving the patient inpatient and outpatient experience and accomplishes the goals and objectives of imaging services for both inpatient and outpatient services.
