Associate Director, Automation Engineering
At TCR Therapeutics Inc, our inclusive and diverse team is passionate about curing cancer. We are a clinical-stage cell therapy company pioneering the development of novel T cell therapies by utilizing our TRuC platform. Our lead autologous cell product gavo-cel (TC-210) is being studied in a Phase 1/2 trial for treatment refractory mesothelin-expressing solid tumors. In addition, our emerging and dynamic oncology pipeline focuses on a series of next-generation enhancements, novel targets and an allogeneic platform which may further improve clinical outcomes and broaden patient access. We are headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts with clinical manufacturing located in Rockville, MD. This role will be based in Rockville, Maryland. We are building our clinical/commercial manufacturing capabilities to provide lifesaving therapies and are looking for an experienced engineering professional to join as Associate Director, Automation Engineering. You will report to the Senior Director, Engineering and Facilities and be a member of the Engineering and Facilities leadership team working closely with Corporate and Site leadership, Scientists, Quality, and Operation professionals alongside with external engineering firms to deliver TCR2 first manufacturing facility. We are seeking an individual with superior automation skills to help design, integrate and validate all aspects of the automation systems to ensure robust operation. The candidate should also possess strong people and strategic leadership attributes as they will play a key foundational role in shaping the vision and operational model for the E&F group. Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership to external engineering organizations on the design, integration, validation, and operation of all aspects of the automation systems Develop operational model, procedures, and standards for the Automation function As Subject Matter Expert oversee the functionality, operation, and continuous improvement of the automation infrastructure and software Prepare, execute, and oversee capital and operating budgets Outside service provider selection and coordination of services Partner within the Engineering and Facilities function to select, hire and develop talent. Perform additional leadership or technical roles as required. Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science At least 8 years of experience working within a regulated industry is a must; preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industries. A minimum of 4 years of people management experience is required Strong working knowledge of engineering and automation principles in process automation, building management systems, LIMS, alarm management software, data acquisition and data integrity. Understanding of Cybersecurity is a plus Comfortable with change and the ability to drive change Ability to create strong teams, build programs, and work collaboratively Strategic thinking together with a strong business acumen Excellent people skills in a cross-functional environment Ability to interact with all levels including senior management
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
